Fatima Mohammad

Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Fatima is an Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with her Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University. Originally from the west coast, Fatima moved to the midwest to follow her passions of connecting with couples, families, and individuals through an integrative and systemic approach. Growing up in a biracial, bicultural, and multi-faith household, Fatima understands the complexities of mixed identities and how they impact ourselves and our relationships.

Fatima has experience working with individual clients on anxiety, self-esteem issues, identity development, family of origin issues as well as couples facing the challenges of infidelity, communication, co-parenting and more. Her specific areas of focus include racial and cultural identity development, couples working through intimacy/desire discrepancies, self-esteem struggles and how this appears in relationships, and family of origin related issues. Complementing her therapy practice, Fatima also offers executive coaching and family business consulting.

Feeling extremely honored to get to share space with her clients, Fatima takes a collaborative and emotion-focused approach in her practice so that clients feel comfortable addressing fears, needs, emotions and more. She understands that everyone's journey moves differently, so she works towards therapeutic goals at every clients’ own pace.

When she is not in the therapeutic space, Fatima is definitely somewhere drinking a cup of coffee. When it comes to resting and feeling reenergized, she enjoys spending her time riding her bike along Lake Michigan, walking through her favorite Chicago neighborhoods, and unashamedly catching up on Real Housewives.
